Spartacus...
Well this episode of Spartacus has certainly not failed to disappoint, or has it? I think Naevia has run her course and should’ve been killed after killing Ashur. She has no edge or interesting qualities now. Mira probably should’ve lived, but that’s neither here nor there. Ashur dying really struck a nerve. His cunning and intelligence made him such a multi-dimensional character. To the Big O, I expected the death, but it comes with some grief still. I loved his character. Lucretia, I’ll miss you and Illythia’s planning behind closed doors. Illythia’s character grew a lot and I hope to see Viva in some other things soon. Glaber, it just wasn’t in the cards for you. Spartacus had history on his side. All in all, I am reluctantly happy about this season. I do not want to wait until January for the new season though. But, I digress; Gannicus is still alive and I am VERY happy about that. He remains my favorite character, if not only because the cocky bastard reminds me so much of myself.
“All men fall. It is but time and method that defer.” -Ashur (Nick Tarabay).
